About Crystal Moore:

As an artist, I think in images. Instead of stringing together words, I compose visual essays of form, symbolic meaning, light, time, and context. I think of art as a tool and as a process. It can be used as a catalyst for dialog and can help promote social and personal change. This is part of my motivation for striving for a more palpable art presence at Antioch. I don’t believe in the myth of The Genius Artist, but follow the school of Joseph Beuys- where everyone is an artist. For me, there is a very vague borderland between art and life. I can never really tell if I am living or creating.
