Bound by blood to the ocean and directed by mixed genetics, the author wanders paths of macadam or sand looking for the intersection of Eclectic and Esoteric.
The author is a writer, photographer, teacher and sailor who graduated from UCLA (biology and English) and completed the coursework for a Ph.D. The author has written five non-fiction books, numerous blogs and countless articles and stories, and is presently completing a novel. The author’s short-form work has appeared or will soon appear in: The Dear Mule Review, 805 Lit+Art, Sunlight Press, and Odyssa. Photographic honors: 1st place in 2009 National Geographic International Photographic Competition (out of 208,000 entries), Underwater Photographer of the year 2011 - International Union for the Conservation of Nature (Geneva), two first places in Scuba Diving Magazine's annual photo competition, invited to display in numerous galleries and two museums.
