When he was a kid, Kurt Liebert wanted to be a rockstar, so he started writing music. In 1994 he put together a band called bicycle and released an album. In 2001 he broke up his band and started painting.

"Painting is so much different than writing songs," Liebert says. "Painters don’t ever have to paint the same painting twice. No drunk Italian has ever yelled at a painter too. 'Paint it again Leonardo! Do the Mona Lisa!'"
